“I Started my career with my first job was selling refinery products i.e. Drill Pipes, Drill Collars, Mud Hoses (API-7K), Heavy Weight Drill Pipe, Stabilizers, Drilling Rigs, SRP Surface Units, Check Valves, Chokes & Kill Manifold. 500’s of items, where there was money to be made purely in buying and selling. Then also entered in to Crane hiring business in the year 1998 and did run successfully cranes with ONGC Ltd, Reliance Industries Ltd, Larsen Toubro Ltd, for a period of 20 years.
When I created SIL in 1993, I realized that there was an opportunity to do something in between. By taking large volume mill runs, combined with spot trading and adding value through Supply Chain Management distribution, we could offer a Drill pipes / Heavy Weight Drill pipes / Drill Collar, Mud Hoses (API-7K), SRP Surface Units, Chokes & Kill Manifold to our customers. This had the effect of the commoditizing the product to add flexibility and value”.
